The New York State Certified Officials of Soccer needs new referees in all areas of the State.
No experience is necessary – Local officials organizations will provide all the training you need. You can earn while you learn.

In your email, please include your name, the area you would be officiating (e.g. Buffalo, Capital Region, NYC, etc), and your contact information.

General Requirements:
1. Most local boards offer indoor and outdoor clinics that will provide you with familiarity with high school soccer rules and the game mechanics necessary to work a high school contest.
2. All new officials must take and pass the National Federation High School rules exam.
3. Complete any other local requirements – participate in some pre-season scrimmages and you are on your way to becoming a NYSCOS certified soccer official.
